The 12th International Conference on Home Mechanical Ventilation was a large success with more than 1 500 participants from all over the world: 32 countries were present. It is the best participation since the first meeting in 1989 and it has confirmed the JIVD meeting as a major event in the field of respiratory home care.

All the speakers have greatly contributed to make this meeting successful, it was a privilege to have them come in Barcelona to present their work and share their experiences, giving the opportunity to offer lectures and presentations of a very high quality. We may anticipate that besides the enhanced knowledge of professionals many patients will benefit from these exchanges.

This meeting would not have been complete without the participation of the industry and their support made the organization of this congress possible.

We will meet again in 2 years for the North American meeting and in 2013 for the next JIVD !
